Niko is a young boy who lives in Freedonia in Despicable Me 3. He briefly had a crush on Margo Gru during her visit to the island, when Lucy forced Margo to attend a dance during the Cheese Festival. After Margo came home, Niko knocked on her door and stated that he and Margo were engaged, and offered Margo his pig as a sign of their engagement. Lucy, who had opened the door in the first place, refused to the engagement, and sent him away. A moment later, Niko came back a second time, along with his Mother who, infuriated with Lucy's refusal to her Son and Margo's engagement, cursed Margo and Lucy angrily, to witch Lucy grabbed her by the collar and screamed at her that she should never dare to curse Margo again. The Woman then fearfully walked away, and Niko crawled away sadly with his pig.
