Kristen Schaal (January 24, 1978) is an American actress, voice artist, writer, and comedian. She voices Shannon in the film Despicable Me 2 and Despicable Me 3. She also voiced Barb the Orangutan in Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2, some of the witches in Shrek Forever After, her television voice roles includes Mabel Pines in Gravity Falls, Louise Belcher in Bob's Burgers and Victoria Best in the PBS Kids show Wordgirl. Her upcoming voice over rolls also include Louise Belcher in the upcoming Bob's Burgers Movie.
Early life and career[]
Schaal was born in Longmont, Colorado, to a Lutheran family of Dutch and German descent. She was raised on her family's cattle farm, in a rural area near Boulder. Her father is a construction worker and her mother is a secretary. Schaal has a brother, David, who is three years older. She graduated from Northwestern University, then moved to New York to pursue a comedy career.

Schaal married to former Daily Show writer Rich Blomquist in 2012.
