The Bogatyr Minion Costume is a playable character in Minion Rush. It costs 50 costume cards and 1 coin to unlock or can be bought in occasional bundle offers in the Shop. It appears to carry a heavy Morning Star weapon, which is hard to carry.
Trivia
- The costume's original coin price was 1,000, but the game makers changed it to 1 coin to help all players unlock it faster. Unlike other costumes that are available in all countries, it was never changed to 10 coins price.
- The Bogatyr Minion Costume (along with the Tzarevna Minion Costume) is only available in Russia.
- Bogatyr (Богатырь) means "hero" in Russian.
- The costume is inspired by the medieval outfits minions wore in Agnes's birthday party in Despicable Me 2.
- Bogatyr's old power (in the jelly lab versions) was double chances of finding Gru's Rocket.
- Frankenstein Minion has the same powers as Bogatyr, only better and the power-up lasts the longest thus far.
- Apart from special offers in the top banners of the Shop, this costume as well as Tzarevna have never been found in any of the available or time-limited pods or through missions and events, making it extremely hard to upgrade. Most players who have the costume had bought it in jelly lab versions and were offered the costume cards required to upgrade up till level 5. Currently, there are no offers in shop even in Russia.
- It was first released in 2.1.1 version on September 16, 2014. It cost $9,99 and was always available in Russia. However, it was later found via a glitch at the price of 1,200 tokens, which is how most non-Russian players were able to buy it. Its upgrades required bananas and tokens and the max level of upgrade was 5. After the 5-Year Celebration Update, the maximum number of costume cards that were offered upon the conversion were 410.
- In older Chinese versions, the costume was offered for 6 puzzle pieces and required 20,000 bananas and 12 tokens to upgrade to level 5.
